Vacation

We decided we needed a little time away so headed to the cities for a little vacation. A get away outside is more our style, but it gets tricky with Ty right now. We also couldn't afford anything lavish, but we found lots of fun things to do.

First we visited the Mall of America and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. The kids loved it until the gorillas started in and the thunder rumbled.. then Myah was a little nervous!

Next we checked out Sea World at the mall.. very cool...

Seriously!!! I was so proud of her! I'll scan and post the picture we bought from them a little later, it's hillarious!!

Finally, what Myah had been waiting for... the POOL!!

The only bad part about this pool was that it was quite chilly. Otherwise it was a very nice hotel and the kids liked the pool anyway.

The next day we visited the Children's Museum of Mn in St. Paul. We loved it! We can't say it's any better than the one in Brookings, they are different and both have great things for the kids to do. We did notice that the one in Mn had a few more things for Tyler's size which was very nice. One of the parts I didn't take a pic of were these simulated ant tunnels. Jake and Myah had a blast making their way through them. (Ask Jake's family and they'll tell you he was super into tunnels as a kid.. so this was his fave part!)

Tyler loved this little ramp. He kept crawling up and then scooting down on his bottom with a huge grin on his face.

This is out on the roof. Such a simple thing, painting the rocks with water... and the kids loved it!
